# Vented Firewood Bulk Bags for European Firewood Merchants

**Summary:** Firewood merchants needed a bag that lets logs keep drying outdoors, lifts by forklift and doubles as the customer's delivery unit. A vented U-panel FIBC with mesh panels, four loops and a full-open top does all three.

## The challenge

Firewood producers split logs months before they sell them. During that time the wood must keep drying, or it grows mould and loses value. Traditional crates and loose stacks take up space and need re-handling before delivery. Merchants wanted a single unit that could be **filled at the splitter, seasoned outdoors, stacked, sold and delivered** without repacking.

## The specification

We supply vented bulk bags built on our standard FIBC platform:

- **Body:** U-panel woven polypropylene with **breathable mesh side panels** so air flows through the load.
- **Size:** 90 × 90 × 120 cm up to 95 × 95 × 135 cm, holding roughly one cubic metre of loose split logs.
- **Lifting:** four side-seam or cross-corner loops for forklift and loader handling; SWL 1,000–1,500 kg at a **5:1** safety factor.
- **Top and bottom:** full-open top for fast filling from conveyors; flat bottom.
- **Fabric:** UV-stabilised for months of outdoor seasoning.
- **Print:** optional one- or two-colour print with the merchant's brand and moisture-content guidance.

## Why it works

1. **Drying continues inside the bag.** Mesh panels let wind and sun move moisture out of the wood, so logs reach selling moisture without being moved.
2. **One unit from yard to doorstep.** The same bag is weighed, stacked, sold and dropped at the customer's home — no repacking labour.
3. **Space efficiency.** Square bags stack in tidy rows and fit trailers neatly.
4. **Brand on every delivery.** Printed bags carry the merchant's name to every driveway.
